About

Third-wave craft, served like family.

Highlight Coffee began in 2016 when owner Frank Kim — formerly of Cafe Demitasse in Little Tokyo — opened the Glendale flagship in a soaring former bank rotunda on East Broadway. A second location followed on Lincoln Avenue in Pasadena.

The program is built on flight-quality beans, friendly baristas, and a small-batch food menu that ranges from Bread Lounge pastries to the cult-favorite kimchi spam croissant. There is no upcharge for oat or almond milk. There is no rush. Filter coffee, not people.

Locations

The Signature

Butterscotch latte. Order it iced.

Espresso meets house-made butterscotch and the milk of your choice — at no upcharge. Pair it with the kimchi spam croissant and you'll understand why people drive in from across the city.
